Featured below is video content which either specifically features our Brigade, or is worthy of note by virtue of being content from Fire and Emergency New Zealand (or the New Zealand Fire Service) of particular relevance to our brigade.

Hear from one of our newer members - Firefighter Aileen Nand - about what it means to volunteer and how Auckland Operational Support allows her to make a positive difference in the community. Aileen was featured in a video (taken by Volunteering Auckland) to showcase the breadth of volunteer roles and the diversity of volunteers across Auckland.

The New Zealand Fire Service ran a 'Step Forward' recruitment campaign for volunteer firefighters in 2014, and one of our members - Unga Koloamatangi - was featured. In this video (taken from the Fire and Emergency NZ Youtube Channel) he talks a little about his day-job (as a pilot for Air New Zealand) and about how volunteering with Auckland Operational Support allows him to 'make a difference'. This was the first promotional video produced by Auckland Operational Support, and was first shown publically at the opening dinner of the United Fire Brigades Association (UFBA)'s annual conference, hosted by Auckland Operational Support during the weekend of November 8-10, 2013.

At the United Fire Brigades Association conference hosted in Auckland in October 2017, the second of our self-produced promotional videos was launched. Here you'll see our Unit's unique method of operation - unlike any other volunteer fire brigade in the country - as well as footage from several calls we've attended and some recorded comments from Area and Region management.

In November 2018, Fire and Emergency recently published a new video that describes various ways you can volunteer in their service - as an Operational Firefighter, Operational Support Firefighter, or Volunteer Brigade Support (non-Operational). You'll see plenty of Operational Support aspects in the video (just look for the blue helmets).
A great insight into the volunteer side of Fire and Emergency.
