Seven of our members took part in a charity fund raiser at Auckland Airport today. Kitted in full turn-out gear and carrying a BA set, they are doing "the climb to nowhere", walking up the down escalator at the international check-in area. Their efforts drew attention to the "Key to Life" charitable trust whose focus is on suicide prevention. Our team took turns doing a two- hour shift with one member climbing and others collecting passengers' spare change as they headed for their flights.
