The brigade has a new Deputy Chief Fire Officer. Ross Bay has been appointed, promoted from the rank of Senior Station Officer. Ross has been in the Brigade for 27 years and currently heads the Brigade's training team and selection panel for recruits. "I welcome Ross to the position," says Chief Fire Officer, Glenn Teal, "his experience and expertise means this is a very good appointment". Ross takes over from present Deputy, Ric Carlyon, who has stepped down, beginning a transition towards retirement. Appointments to consequential vacancies will be decided shortly.
