While our members were busy at the New Lynn flood, there was a page to a serious motor vehicle accident in Jeffs Road, Flat Bush, where a car and bus collided. 2 of our members who live close by investigated a loud bang and were among the first on the scene before other emergency services arrived. The driver of the car, seriously hurt, was trapped until extricated by firefighters. Members put in 4 road blocks, maintaining them until traffic management contractors took over.
