As well as a busy weekend attending emergency calls, a crew participated in a fund-raiser for the Brigade at Bunnings, Mt Wellington. It's part of the company's acknowledgement of volunteers in the community. Bunnings invite organisations to set up a promotion in the car park and assist with the Saturday Sausage Sizzle. The proceeds go to the participating group. Lots of interest was shown by shoppers as our crew showed off our vehicles along with some of the gear we carry to support firefighters and other workers at emergencies. The money raised, more than $800, will buy equipment to further this objective.
