The Brigade attended 3 events overnight, all non-fire call-outs. The first was a request for the mobile canteen to go to Felton Matthew Ave, Glen Innes where residents had been evacuated from their homes during a police Armed Offenders operation. The canteen set up in a supermarket car park and provided late-night refreshments for scores of people until, around midnight they were allowed to return to their homes. Just after that the second call was to assist at a road accident in New Lynn. A young man died at the scene in Rua Road. At about half past five members attended the third call in the Waitakere Ranges where a car had crashed into bush off Scenic Drive. One male occupant was taken into police custody: the female was taken to hospital by ambulance. Members assisted with traffic management while police undertook inspection of the scene and the vehicle was recovered.
