First for 2016: firefighters contained the fire to a shed

The New Year had barely begun, just one hour old, when members responded to reports of a house fire in Mangere. The fire was contained to a shed at the rear of the property. Operational Support provided lighting, refreshments, and road control in the cul de sac street. Members were just clear of that incident when they were responded to a further call. The second fire, in Papatoetoe, left a house badly damaged.
