Members responded to a 4th Alarm fire in Papakura business district this afternoon after a blaze swept through a food processing plant in Wood Street. Staffmembers were making tofu at the time... flames quickly spread throughout the factory. Fire Police assisted with the closure of roads, at the command point and staffed the canteen when it arrived. Members will remain on the scene where fire-fighters will be engaged for some hours extinguishing hot spots in the gutted building.
