Police photograph the serious accident at Buckland
Members responded to 2 calls at once this morning, one in the Southern part of our area at Buckland near Pukekohe, the other at Kumeu to the north of Auckland. Mid-morning OS3, supported by members, went to a 2-car motor vehicle accident on Harrisville Road, Buckland with persons trapped. We assisted with traffic management while police investigated the crash and until a traffic management company arrived to take over the road closure. At Kumeu a vehicle had leaked diesel on to State Highway 16 making the roadway surface dangerously slippery. The spillage extended for some hundred meters. Two OSU vehicles and accompanying members were despatched to manage traffic around the spill until Council clean-up gangs made the highway safe
