Fire in the Pit!

... and just a few seconds later... "Fire is Out!"
Members of our unit were privileged enough to be able to practice the use of fire extinguishers at the RNZN Damage Control School at Devonport this morning. Whilst extinguishers are common and found in many vehicles and workplaces, few people get a chance to use them in anger.
Members were given the opportunity to use AFFF, CO2 and Dry Powder extinguishers in a controlled environment.
We're very grateful to the Royal New Zealand Navy for the opportunity.
