The Brigade's busy day was to end, early evening, with one further response to Kumeu, north-west of the city, to a serious motor vehicle accident on State Highway 16. It was a car-versus-car collision which left one woman dead, one child in critical condition, another was seriously injured while other patients were taken to hospital, or treated at the scene. It was the first fatal accident of the Easter holiday period. 8 of our Brigade members attended, assisting with road closures while the Canteen crew provided meals for the long-duration event - wrapping up the Brigade's busiest day ever.
