Tokens for our brigade threaten to overflow
The winner is.... Us! Today's the last day for the Z Service Stations' annual "Good in the Hood" promotion, and our brigade is streets ahead in the voting at Skyway Service Station, Auckland International Airport. Customers were given tokens with which they voted for 4 participating neighbourhood groups. And, on the last day, tokens for the Auckland Volunteer Fire Brigade all but overflowed, such was the support. Z gives a donation to each of the worthy groups proportionate to the voting."The high esteem the public has for the fire service is, without a doubt, reflected in this overwhelming support", says Chief Fire Officer Glenn Teal "and now we are thankful that through this Z promotion our brigade will benefit".
