News Story
Wednesday is not-yet-over and the call count for the week has already reached the half-dozen. Members responded to a serious motor vehicle accident in Manukau around 11.30pm on Sunday night, 2 cars involved, 2 motorists seriously injured with extrication required for the trapped driver of one of the vehicles. The drivers of both vehicles, as well as the duty staff of the Caltex service station at the corner of Te Irirangi Drive and Great South Road, were no doubt grateful that one of the vehicles missed a gas main by mere centimeters (not to mention the petrol bowsers)!
Other incidents attended this week include a greater-alarm fire at the paper recycling center in Penrose; a HAZMAT incident in Parakai; a gas leak in Flat Bush; A motor vehicle accident in Epsom and a lines-down call in Hobsonville. With the week half-over, we wonder what it'll be next?
