Fire sweeps through the upper floor, C.C. Interiors

Today the brigade's been back, twice, to the scene of the overnight 4th Alarm at St Johns. The first request was to assist with traffic management in industrial estate along the no-exit Hannigan Drive. As industry and commerce resumed for all the other premises in the street there was a problem with through-traffic and fire-fighting requirements. Damping down and putting out small pockets of fire continued some 8 hours after the fire first broke out. Then, mid-afternoon, members returned to the scene to replenish refreshments for fire-fighters still engaged in the long task of ensuring there were no further outbreaks in the debris..
