The 10m. boat on fire in the estuary, upper reaches, Waitemata Harbour
While the major 4th Alarm fire was consuming C.C. Interiors in the east, firefighters from western stations were engaged in a 2nd Alarm blaze in Glendene. A 10 meter boat was alight near the shipyards off Akatea Road on the upper reaches of the Waitemata Harbour. Some members on their way to the 4th Alarm fire at St Johns diverted across Auckland to respond to the boat fire which was dealt to by both water-borne and land-side fire crews. Some members, having completed duties at Glendene resumed the turnout to C.C. Interiors to assist at the long-duration event at St Johns
