The 2013 United Fire Brigades' Conference ended this afternoon and delegates from throughout the country are returning home. On behalf of all those attending Conference, Association President Bryan Styles thanked our Brigade for most successfully hosting the event. Delegates and partners were especially appreciative of Friday night's gathering, including a grand entrance and welcome by all our members. And last night"s "trail", when members guided attendees from their hotel through city streets to the dinner at Sky City, was widely commended. As part of Host duties, the Brigade also arranged transport to and from the airport, escorted those on the partners' programme and ensured visitors enjoyed their stay in Auckland. "The Brigade can be very proud of its hospitality role this weekend looking after hundreds of Conference delegates, observers and partners" says the Brigade's Chief Fire Officer, Glenn Teal, "and at the same time making them all aware of Operational Support, our role, the services we provide and the value to our community".
