Preparations are well underway for this year's United Fire Brigades' Association conference, being held in Auckland, hosted by our brigade. More than 500 delegates and partners from fire brigades throughout the country are registered. The Rendezvous Grand Hotel in Mayoral Drive is headquarters for the 3 day event. The Brigade will be on hand at Auckland Airport to greet visitors on Friday morning and will stage a formal welcome to Auckland that night. Members are also accompanying delegates taking an educational tour of fire and security measures at Auckland Airport as well as arranging transport and assisting conference organisers. It's the first time Fire Police or Operational Support have, alone, hosted a UFBA Conference.
