Car vs House: Otara Fatality

The car, which police say was stolen, embedded into the house at Otara.
Our members today responded twice to a motor accident in Otara where a car ploughed into a house killing the 16 year old driver, wrecking the vehicle and severely damaging the dwelling. The Subaru slammed into the foundations causing the main bedroom to collapse on the car. Members first went to the Alexander Crescent call at half past four this morning and remained for 3 hours assisting at the scene while police made their investigations. Then, later in the morning with emergency workers still at the scene, members returned to provide refreshments for the long-duration event. Operational Support personnel gave the 'all clear'
