The Brigade's 80th Annual General Meeting was held tonight. As well as a special year in our history, Chief Fire Officer Glenn Teal told the Brigade the achievements over the last 12 months have added up to another stand-out 12 months. "There are many activities, commitments and tasks that have to be done to sustain the 580 working incidents we attended last year" he said, "and in addition we have improvements and projects underway preparing for the future. And then there's the up-skilling of our people for a wider range of duties and the ongoing initiative to refresh the membership, with 13 new recruits this year on top of the 5 enrolled last year. The time and commitment given by you all on a voluntary basis", CFO Teal told the members, "is truly remarkable".
