A third alarm was transmitted by fire-fighters dealing with a blaze that ripped through factory and warehouse premises in Mt Wellington's Carmont Place tonight. Members were involved in a range of tasks - traffic management, lighting, command and canteen unit duties, breathing apparatus re-commissioning, and salvage. The fire left one premises gutted, while next door the offices were damaged by heat, smoke and water.
