One of the main access routes to and from the city and the airport was closed early this morning following a 2 car collision in Pah Road, Royal Oak. All 10 members who responded were fully occupied putting in, and maintaining, blocks at Mount Albert Road and at Trafalgar Street: both busy intersections. The latter was not only carrying traffic from the airport, the large congregation was arriving for services at the LDS church which was within the outer cordon. Arrangements were made for the church-goers. None of the occupants of the vehicles was seriously injured but the accident caused a large oil spill which was dealt with by Auckland Transport.
