2 Campuses Damaged by Fire
13 May 2013
It was a major response to Auckland University's Epsom Campus this morning when fire broke out in the kitchen and cafeteria. Fire-fighters transmitted a 4th Alarm to ensure resources were on site to deal with the blaze which seriously damaged parts of the cafeteria. Members assisted with road closures and at the control point as well as carrying out general fireground duties. The canteen responded: a number of re-hydration stations were set up around the burning building. It was the second greater alarm today... around midnight members from West Auckland attended a second alarm fire at Unitec's Carrington Road campus where fire damaged computer equipment.
