Members at Fire Field Camp

The Class of 2013 assemble for a debrief at Kawhia Station.

Some of our members travelled in OS3 to join 50 firefighters from Waikato region for a weekend of exercises at Kawhia. A set of realistic scenarios began on Friday night which each fire crew tackled in turn under the watchful eyes of trainers. Then, today, to end the weekend there was one big exercise: organisers staged a fire requiring a 4th alarm attendance. Our members joined OS colleagues from Silverdale and Raglan to provide strategic support services for the various routines.
