As members of our Brigade celebrate Christmas Day we spare thoughts for our counterparts slain in the suburbs of Rochester, New York State, USA, on Christmas Eve. We salute the memory of volunteers Lt. Mike Chiapperini and firefighter Tomasz Kaczowka who died as they stepped down from their appliance at the scene of a house fire. We send all best wishes for a full recovery to those firefighters injured in the cross-fire and sincere condolences to the West Webster Volunteer Fire Department.
