Members put in road closures in Great South Road, Newmarket, and in adjacent streets, today following a multi-vehicle incident. 2 drivers were injured, one trapped in the wreckage. The series of crashes began when a van and a truck/trailer collided, the van shot across the road into a side street demolishing a light standard and two vehicles in its path. It ended up against a third car. Meanwhile the truck/trailer careered on to the wrong side of Great South Road, clipping 3 new cars lined up in a dealer
