Fire and Emergency has a rigorous regime of on-going competency for all personnel and once a year our members attend a "skills refresher" programme at the Regional Training Centre, Mt Wellington. These practical exercises back up our regular monthly learning sessions. Traffic management, point duty, waterway equipment, lighting and portable pumping were topics this year, a full day's programme with our members joined by Operational Support personnel from Silverdale, Muriwai, Helensville, Matakana and Warkworth.
